Duel Art: Kazuki Takahashi Yu-Gi-Oh! IllustrationsI am a long time Yu-Gi-Oh fan. Since I was in elementary school back in 2001 I remember watching Yu-Gi-Oh! I grew up with the show all the way through high school and enjoyed every bit of the original Duel Monsters series.This book is very much so worth it for any fans ranging from casual, to hardcore Yu-Gi-Oh fan. The book includes 120 beautiful pages of art, all kept neatly and tightly in a hardcover bind.Included are some beautiful poster card illustrations with a variety of selections from various main characters. You get about 20+ of these, the book then dives into the future and showcase some Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and spin off series arts, about 10+ pages, you get a variety of contraptions (arts of various Yu-Gi-Oh! Characters together from the array of spin-offs), creation reasoning, creator notes, drawings and each stages etc...Really the book contains a lot of beautiful arts my person favorites are the notes that Kazuki Takahashi noted about each piece of page, the auther comments on each piece of art within the book at the "index" of the book.

Kazuki Takahashi, and the people who put this Duel Art book together did a magnificent job! There is so much beautiful artwork done by Takahashi himself for the first four series', along with an interesting interview outlining Takahashi's art style and process, and inspiration behind Yu-Gi-Oh! Definitely a must have for any obsessed fan or person who is familiar with the show. It also comes as a solid hardback with high quality prints. I may have fangirled a little. My childhood and my inner child now was very happy.

The art is wonderful and I enjoyed reading about the processes used to produce all of this great work. The spine feels delicate when flipping through, but the overall package is great. An update including the newest show ( Arc-V) would have been fantastic, but it's not essential and we can't be beggars when unique content makes it over. All we need now is the light fiction novels and we will have everything!

So the product itself I bought for my boyfriend for Christmas. He adored it, loves yugioh a lot. The book is hardcover and full of beautiful full artworks of cards, manga volume covers and more. The ONLY donw side (and my boyfeiend actually thought it was cool) is that the book is printed upside down. Like not backwards, just the actual pages were put in upsidown. It's still legible.

I collect artbooks and yet this surprised me in an unprecedented way. Every single page is great and beautiful, it is kind of small but also very cheap for a product of its nature. It doesn't contain a lot of comments from the creator, but they focused on the art and did a fantastic job at it.So far one of my favorites, if not the best. Extremely recommended if you are an old-school yugioh fan.

I knew this was a book I wanted to have to compliment my vast collection of Yu-Gi-Oh manga novels, of which I have the entire set of the original story, Duelist, R, Millenium World, and GX. 5D's and ZEXAL are up to date. Anything in hard cover is always a plus. Well worth the buy

Absolutely amazing, it's worth every penny. In the back, there are even two works that they show the artist's step by step process, and an interview! It's incredible.

About the Author
Martha Stout, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist in private practice, served on the faculty in psychology in the department of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School for twenty-five years. She is the author of The Sociopath Next Door and The Myth of Sanity.  She lives on Cape Ann in Massachusetts.
